Tatty's Teddy Cake

Happy Monday!!

I've got my Inspiration from this grey and blue nose  , Tatty Teddy .

I've made a mistake here. Actually I have to draw the lines before I assemble all the body parts but I've draw it after! The fondant tends to be dry and working with dry fondant was a bit risky.

Learn from the mistake.. Ahaha normal qoute by the way LOL

My main concern is the cake. I've done so many research from blog to blog, tutorial to tutorial , video to video just to get this clean and nice fondant look. Trust me, it's not 100% of the result! I afraid to go more further , more clean , more neat as a night before I had destroyed a cake. Ahaha..

This technique is really killing me softly and challenged my level of patient!!! However the end result is amazing and I will use this techniques for the next and upcoming cakes.

My husband did asked me to just enroll the class but I insisted not to enroll. I would like to challenge my self. If my 3rd attempt is fail then I will enroll but thank God, I've made it. Ahaha. Almost give up!

Inside was a chocolate cake. Yes!! Real cake. 6inch cake.

I just decorate it as simple as I can because after that I will cut and eat it. Next time , I will use only dummy cake for my so called " self learning class".

Next project maybe flowers. Wish me luck!

Sewing Cake Ideas

This cake is for my MIL's birthday.

The hard work is begin!!!

7 inch sponge cake ( I'm using Victoria Sandwich cake's recipe)

All from fondant even the scissors.

Pack and went to Sg Buloh for celebration.

I'm glad she's loves it and even got surprised from it. When she saw a huge box , I've told her that we did found a pair of kitten.
She believed it ...ahaha

The filling was  marshmallow and  chocolate ganache.

Cake for Aqiqah

Love this part

Hate this part

Hate this part too .. Ahaha.. I hate working with buttercream by the way .

Tada!!! Love this part so much. Ahaha

The most challenging part was delivery the cake it self. Woh!!  I'm breathless .

My husband have to drive very careful to avoid any bump . Right after we safely delivered the cake, we laugh . The craziest things in " cake decorator's life".

It was chocolate orange cake with chocolate orange buttercream filling. Icing for sure buttercream . Width 6inch and height 7inch.

XoXo

M&M Cookies # 1st attempt

Fresh from the oven .

My first attempt of making M&M cookies.
Basically the ingredient is exactly same  with normal Choc Chip Cookies. We just need to replace the choc chips with M&M.

From my personal view , M&M it self didn't gave much flavor in it. Next time maybe I can add another ingredient in it to match with M&M it self.

Owh by the way, I've followed the recipe from Joyofbaking

Have fun and do enjoy your cooking :)

Till Then,Bye-bye

Ombre' Cake

 Hi!!
I want to make this cake for a long time ago but I didn't have suitable time for it.
Finally on Saturday , I've managed to make it. Wehooo.

During this R&D , I'm using new recipe " vanilla buttermilk cake " and I think it will replaced my old "vanilla cake".

The cake making it self was so easy but when came to decorating part, I am clueless!!

mixing the batter

I am using Fuchsia color code.

Lesson learn here. Next time I have to make sure the color ratio on each part. Layer 2 and 3 looks exactly the same.

The most challenging part. I tried on ruffles but my fondant didn't works . I have to roll and create a straight layer. Again, the fondant didn't works well.
If you noticed, you can see the cracks and the mishap.

I need to work more on fondant decorating I guess.

Til then, bye-bye

Red Velvet with Chocolate Ganache

Hi!

Wow it's being long paused here! I miss to bake and decorate cake so much. Now I'm in the midst of re organize and collecting new ideas and hopefully I can continue taking orders soon!!

Just a quick update. Last saturday i did baked a red velvet cake for my husband 29th birthday.

The cream cheese was out of stock . I looked around every shop near me but unfortunately they haven't. Lucky my sister bought 1 but it wasn't enough to cover up the whole cake.

Got an ideas from my previous cake , so I've combined both of ideas!!!

It turns really good and delicious! Owh yes!! Layered it with cream cheese and covered it with chocolate ganache .
